The Graveyard Book Bod is an unusual boy who inhabits an unusual place-he's the only living resident of a graveyard. Raised from infancy by the ghosts, werewolves, and other cemetery denizens, Bod has learned the antiquated customs of his guardians' time as well as their timely ghostly teachings-like the ability to Fade. Can a boy raised by ghosts face the wonders and terrors of the worlds of both the living and the dead? And then there are things like ghouls that aren't really one thing or the other. This chilling tale is Neil Gaiman's first full-length novel for middle-grade readers since the internationally bestselling and universally acclaimed Coraline. Like Coraline, this book is sure to enchant and surprise young readers as well as Neil Gaiman's legion of adult fans.
Final Project:
Your final project is to create either a book trailer or a stop motion movie about the book. You must all work together as a group. Book trailer Your book trailer must involve all members of your group and include important events from the story without giving away the ending. You may shoot in various locations around the school and are encouraged to bring appropriate costumes for your character. Choose which trailer from iMovie you will use and provide a storyboard for each element as well as locations of filming.
Stop Motion Movie
If you choose a stop motion movie then you need to create a very short version of the book. Separate the book into the main parts and decide on how you will create your stop motion (lego, pictures etc.....) Create a storyboard of the main parts and choose someone to film each part and others to take control of the characters.
*If you choose to use Lego, you could perhaps think about constructing your sets using lego, etc, or think about what you will use for backgrounds for each part.
